Horsemanship 101 Clinic with Chad Johnson

Horsemanship 101 with Chad Johnson. This is a 6 hour horsemanship clinic in our new Unbridled Equestrian Center indoor arena, where you can learn how to "Create a Good Foundation" with your horse through hands on training.

 

There is a morning session from 9-noon, break for lunch and afternoon session from 1-4.

Topics are:
AM Session:
How to teach your horse to release from pressure.
Learning the basic mechanics of horse movements.
Reading the horse's body language.
Timing with the horse's foot falls on the ground.
Creating a foundation for softness.
PM Session:
Softening in the saddle.
Importance of the one rein stop.
Timing with your horse's footfalls under saddle.
And, hindquarter and forehand yields.

We only have space for 12 horse/rider teams in this clinic.

The cost for horse/rider team is $120 for the day, to Audit is $15 or Audit in our Private Viewing Room for $35. (Membership discounts are available, Contact Donna for more info.)

 

If a participant, it is preferred that you bring a rope halter, 12' lead rope and flag for AM session and an O,D or eggbutt snaffle bit for PM (no shanks, please).
