Benny's First Post

Hi,

My name is Benny. I was born May 17, 2019 and came to Missouri Forget-Me-Not Horse Rescue & Sanctuary in August. I'm writing this blog to let you know what is going on at the rescue. A lot happens here in a week and I'll try to keep you up to date on everything.

I was born blind in my right eye and with a crooked nose. Where I lived, they didn't feel that they could take care of me, so they sent me to Missouri Forget-Me-Not (most of us just call it MFMN). I'm a cute, fun-loving guy that is one of many MFMN favorites. Okay, probably all of us are favorites.

Many horses that come here are escaping bad situations where there weren't cared for properly, but not all.

Some horse's owners have their own physical or financial situations that change and instead of selling the horses to someone they don't know, they send them to MFMN. They know they'll be taken care of here, and the Rescue will try and find them good homes. People who adopt from MFMN sign a contract that they'll return the horse to the rescue if they can no longer keep it. It keeps horses from going to kill pens and helps good horses continue to have a good life. Having a good life is what I plan on.
